Late Gamer Plays Assassin’s Creed: Origins – The Curse Of The Pharaohs

A Review From Hidai Moya

Being set in Ancient Egypt it was naturally expected that AC Origins would explore mummies & curses.
This Downloadable Content adds two new lands to explore. Whereas AC Origins was entirely set in Lower Egypt, this finally adds Upper Egypt & all its iconic places like The Valley of the Kings & The City of Thebes. Encountering the undead however is only limited to four small underworlds, & though undeniably beautiful, their small self contained maps contrast heavily with the overall feel of the game, that & its boss fights are really unoriginal.
It is in the new combat abilities & in the new regions to explore, that the gameplay is at its best. In fact, the integration of Egyptian mythology, history, & AC lore, is told so well at times it is almost better than the main story.
I just wish they would not level cap Bayek since he could one hit/one kill everyone.

Grade B+
